To promote the wide variety of North Dakota travel and tourism opportunities to specific demographics
Solution
While digital media continues to grow as a travel planning resource, North Dakota travelers are still picking up hundreds of thousands of print materials from various travel stops – from Convention and Visitor Bureaus to museums to rest stops. MABU partnered with North Dakota Tourism to develop a series of print brochures highlighting stops for golfers, arts and culture aficionados, foodies seeking good eats, beer and wine fans, and travelers ready for outdoor adventure.
Deliverables
The series of brochures has been reprinted many times and continue to grow in popularity with both travelers and the travel destinations highlighted. Aspects of the brochures are re-purposed for digital channels, with maps and info included on the official ND Tourism website: NDtourism.com.
Results
Tourism is the #3 industry in North Dakota with continual economic markers of growth. The Beer and Wine guide has recently been expanded as the microbrew and winery industry grows in the state, and more adventure-related outfitters are also opening in the state as demand for unique outdoor travel experiences grows.
