Challenge
To promote North Dakota as a leader in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), the state’s Department of Commerce wanted to make a splash at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) XPONENTIAL, one of the world’s largest UAS conferences.
Solution
MABU developed the AUVSI event booth schematics and structural design to present a polished, unified look for the state and its many UAS partners in business and higher education.
Deliverables
In addition to the booth development, MABU developed print and digital materials that carried a cohesive message through supplementary media. Major elements of the booth design were re-purposed for the following year’s XPONENTIAL booth to allow for North Dakota’s continued presence at this important economic development event.
Results
As one of only six Federal Aviation Administration approved UAS test sites in the nation and with the nation’s first UAS degree program at the University of North Dakota, the state is on track as a leader in UAS-related economic development. The first commercial UAS Business and Aviation Park, Grand Sky near Grand Forks, is set to be operational in 2016, with anchor tenants such as Northrop Grumman and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems already signed on.
